However, the integrated version will contain some extra (light) progression and post-game elements, too, so I'd encourage people who like Iris to snack on the standalone since there will be some des(s)erts later anyway. If you don't want to play it twice or want to play it on "your" save, you'll need to wait a bit longer (few weeks) for 7F to be finished, and you can then play them in sequence.
8F is not particularly contingent on the events of 7F, so people worried about story spoilers or continuity should be fine with the standalone version.

8F will be integrated to the full Tower after 7F, which is unfortunately not done (obviously) but is getting there.
